An Introduction to the Currey Creek Leadership Pipeline

At Currey Creek, our vision is clear: Growing Disciples, Expanding the Kingdom. This is our calling to move beyond consuming information about Jesus and into a transformational faith that actively shapes our lives. We exist to make disciples who Exalt God, Engage the Culture, and Equip the Christ Follower.

To move this vision from aspiration to reality, we must be intentional about empowering people for ministry. We believe leadership development is a core component of discipleship. At Currey Creek, we define it this way:

Leadership development is an intentional process where a mature leader equips others to lead like Jesus and advance God's Kingdom.

To put this core conviction into practice, we have created the Currey Creek Leadership Pipeline.

What is the Leadership Pipeline?

The Leadership Pipeline is a clear and intentional pathway designed to help every person at Currey Creek identify their next step in leadership and receive the equipping and discipling necessary to faithfully serve in their calling. It provides a shared language and structure for developing leaders at every level of our church.

The pathway consists of six distinct levels, each with a clear focus:

Level Core Function
Team Member Lead Yourself
Leader Leads a Team
Coach Leads Leaders
Associate Director Leads a Major Ministry Area
Director/Pastor Leads a Ministry Department
Executive Leadership Leads the Church

OUR FOUNDATION: BELIEFS AND VALUES

Everything we do is built on the foundation of God's Word and our commitment to our core values. Before joining a leadership role, we ask that you review and confirm your alignment with the following statements.

OUR CORE BELIEFS
THE BIBLE
God's word to us. It was written by men divinely inspired and is the record of God's revelation of Himself to man. It has God for its author, salvation through Jesus Christ for its end, and truth, without any error, for its matter. As such, we believe it to be fully sufficient and authoritative for instructing us in all truth.
GOD
The one and only living and true God, the Creator of all things. The eternal God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being (commonly known as the Trinity).
JESUS CHRIST
The eternal Son of God. He lived a sinless life, suffered death on the cross for the redemption of men from sin, was raised from the dead, and ascended into heaven. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission.
HOLY SPIRIT
The Spirit of God. He enables men to understand truth, convicts of sin, cultivates Christian character, and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.
MAN
Created by the special act of God, in His own image. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin," which separates us from Him.
SALVATION
Offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. When we turn from our sins and turn to Jesus in faith, we are saved by His grace.
